This award is given to the Sportsperson who wins a game either by playing one of that Great Mad Hatter International Master Mike Basman's Openings or demonstrating a beautiful sacrifice (safe or swindle) or by any other impressive tactical move.

Safeguarding: Please note that ONE accompanying adult MUST be present at all times during the event as the venue is open to the public. There will be only 50 chairs for accompanying adults inside the playing hall. Adults are not allowed to stroll or watch while the games are in progress. Child’s allergy or any other illness that the organisers should be aware of please mention when you register your them. Photos may be taken but ask permission from opponents.
