Come and Have Fun at the Mad Hatter's Fancy Dress Chess Party at Chiswick Town Hall, 28th June 2025

(Fancy Dress is not mandatory but there will be additional prizes for the best dressed participant and even for a parent!)

£380 cash prizes and 120 prizes to be won for 50 signed up participants.

Meri's homebaked cakes and cookies, fruits, popcorn, hot and cold baverages will be served for free!

Arrival at 10:00 | Closing Ceremony at 15:15**

Open to players born on or after 31st August 2011 and with no prior tournament experience or with less than 1500 ECF rating

• Swiss System | 6 Rounds | Tiebreak: Direct Encounter/Progressive Score/Number of wins/ Numbers of wins by black

• U8, U9, U10, U12, U14: 1st place trophy & medal | 2nd & 3rd place medals

• Top 2 Unrated £10 each (if not won any main cash prize)
• Fabulous Certificate of Achievement to every participant
• The overall tournament winner receives a trophy, with their name engraved, to keep for a year!

Places are limited to 50 participants.

Sportsperson must be a member of the English Chess Federation in order to become a rated player.

Safeguarding: Please note that ONE accompanying adult MUST be present at all times during the event as the venue is open to the public. There will be only 50 chairs for accompanying adults inside the playing hall. Adults are not allowed to stroll or watch while the games are in progress. Child’s allergy or any other illness that the organisers should be aware of please mention when you register. Photos may be taken but ask permission from opponents. Please mention in your email that you are NOT happy to have your child/children's photo taken by the organiser and possibly published on social media or websites. Thank you.
